Light a Candle
My mama was my best friend. I miss her everyday.
She was born Linda Sue Watts in Enid, Oklahoma, to L.C. & Lucy Watts. She had 1 brother and 2 sisters. She met my daddy Leavy Spencer when she was just a teenager and they were married in 1962. They had my older sister Tracy, me, my younger sister Lucy & my younger brother Ira before divorcing in 1980. In 1982 she met and fell in love with Thomas Clark, Jr. and they were married in 1992. They remained together until her death. She was a funny, big-hearted, loving woman! She enjoyed her family and loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.
In Feb. 2005 she learned that she had Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She always stayed positive throughout her treatments and surgery. She thought she had beat it but in 2006 she fell and through test learned that it had spread to her brain. She then had a series of small strokes and proceeded to go down hill all through 2007.
In 2008 she finally lost her battle due to pneumonia as an underlying result of the strokes.
She will be missed forever by those of us who love her.
